Shadow Chancellor Takes Keen Interest in Pirelli Tyres….Calendar

Shadow Chancellor George Osborne paid a visit to the Pirelli tyres plant in Carlisle last week - but it wasn’t just the company’s financial figures he was interested in.
At the end of his tour of the tyres factory the Tory politician was offered a branded baseball cap to take away, however he joked: “But where’sthe calendar?”
Engineering manager Allan Wilson swifty seized the opportunity to invite Osborne to the launch of the 2010 edition later this month, which he declined.
However, the senior Tory was assured that he would be a sent a copy of the limited availability calendar, according to a report in the Mail on Sunday newspaper.
The iconic calendar is only given as a corporate gift to a restricted number of important Pirelli customers and celebrities around the world.
The 2010 calendar which is said to celebrate natural beauty in an exotic Brazilian paradise location.
Renowned photographer Terry Richardson has been shooting 11 of the world’s most beautiful women for the eagerly anticipated tyres manufacturers calendar on the coast of Bahia.
Featuring the faces – and naked bodies – of the likes of Lily Cole, Miranda Kerr and Catherine McNeil in seductively raunchy poses that include sloths, buffalos and bananas, the 50 shortlisted images will be officially unveiled in London on November 19.
