Firestone tyres is aiming to assert itself as a ‘cool’ brand by sponsoring the UK’s oldest pop music festival.
First held in 1961, the Reading Festival takes place from 28th to 30th of August and this years line-up will include the likes of Metallica, Jamie T, Mumford & Sons and more.
The tyre brand, which will also be hosting festivals in Spain, Germany, France, Poland and Italy this summer with the Firestone Music Tour, plans to ‘reassert its presence’ on the European market as a ‘dynamic, energetic and above all cool brand for the young and young at heart’.
According to the company: “Firestone is all about living life to full, about exploring new places, new experiences and new emotions. The Firestone Music Tour builds on that spirit of freedom, helping festival goers across Europe to just be themselves, let their hair down, and rock out to some of the hottest acts to hit Europe this summer.
“The Firestone Music Tour aims to capture the minds of those who are young at heart. People who like to explore new opportunities and who, when it comes to driving, are looking to make smart choices backed by the assurance of a solid brand with a long tradition of innovation and quality. The Firestone Music Tour therefore aims to boost the visibility of the brand amongst a target group who identify with the brand’s values and heritage, while at the same time, linking the brand to a totally cool music experience.”
