Pirelli tyres might not solve Schumacher’s problems

The new Pirelli F1 tyres may not solve Michael Schumacher’s problems in 2011, according to the Mercedes team boss.
Ross Brawn has admitted that the team had a disappointing 2010 season after a championship-winning 2009 campaign.
The team changed both of its drivers for the 2010 season and managed to bring back Michael Schumacher to the sport after a four year break.
It proved to be a poor return for the seven-time world champion as he was unable to perform in the entire season. He finished the year with the worst statistic performance of his career.
Schumacher stated that it was all because of the fact that his car was built according to Jenson Button’s preference and that the Bridgestone tyres did not suit his driving style at all.
However, since Bridgestone is going to be replaced by Pirelli tyres in 2011, it is expected that Michael Schumacher will not have the same problems he had last year.
Nevertheless, Mercedes’ team boss Ross Brawn recently stated that Pirelli might not suit his driving style completely either.
Brawn said: “Michael’s deficit was generally in slow-speed technique, not high speed, where bravery and car control are the factors.”
