Today is the day when the new European tyre labelling regulations come into force which will affect the way you buy tyres and could make driving safer, more economical and better for the environment.
From now on motorists buying new tyres from 1 November 2012 will be presented with details about the performance of their new chosen tyres in three key areas – wet grip, fuel efficiency and noise emissions.
Using the familiar EU energy efficiency label commonly associated with household electrical appliances, such as fridges and washing machines, you will be equipped with information to make a more informed choice than ever before.
The legislation covers all tyres manufactured after 1 July 2012, including economy, mid-range and premium.
