The new EfficientGrip Performance tyres from Goodyear are continuing to garner awards.
The new tyres, which were shown at the Geneva Motorshow earlier this month and are in the process of being launched across Europe, have already achieved excellent European tyre label grades, an A for wet grip and B for rolling resistance.
Now, several leading German magazines have singled the tyres out in tests for recommendations.
Leading German car magazines Auto Zeitung and ADAC Motowelt firmly placed Goodyear’s EfficientGrip Performance in second place, recognising the tyre’s all-round capabilities. ADAC Motowelt gave the tyre a rating of ‘Good’, its highest recognition, and Auto Zeitung “Recommended” the new product, again a top rating.
ACE Lenkrad/GTU5 supported the views of some of the leading test results, giving the Goodyear tyres a solid third place, but with a ‘Very Recommendable’ status.
Hugues Despres, brand director for Goodyear EMEA, commented: “The rest of the results are a recognition of our strategy to deliver some of the best engineered tyres on to the market.
“Our strategy to win in labelling, and deliver a solid set of products that not only meet the European tyre label demands, but also the 15 test criteria of magazines and the over 50 quality criteria internally, is a real testament to our engineering and technological capabilities.
“It is these capabilities that will carry our success forward into 2014 and beyond.”
etyres supply and fit an extensive range of Goodyear tyres to suit all budgets and driving styles and customers can have their new tyres fitted at their home or work.
