If you think choosing the right tyres for your vehicle is tricky, spare a thought for the creators of the successor to the Bugatti Veyron.

According to an exclusive report in Autocar magazine the next version of the iconic supercar could go so fast that its tyres would disintegrate before it reached its top speed!

Its performance credentials are enhanced by a hybrid powertrain based on the same quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16 engine featured in the Veyron and will generate around 1500bhp.

Bugatti insiders have admitted that the new model, which is due to go on sale in 2016, could have a top speed of 286mph based on the feedback from its computer simulations.

However, this will be a challenge to prove its top speed because of the limitations of its Michelin tyres.

According to Autocar, it is possible that unless tyre technology is advanced sufficiently, the rubber could disintegrate before the new vehicle reaches its maximum speed.

Fortunately, most vehicle owners don’t have this dilemma to contend with and are more concerned about price and road handling when choosing their new tyres.

etyres supply and fit a wide range of new tyres to suit all budgets, including economy, mid-range and all the premium brands, such as Michelin. Its mobile tyre fitting service also means customers can have their tyres fitted at their home or work, saving them the hassle of having to drive to a tyre depot or garage.
