The Goodwood Festival of Speed gets off to a roaring start today bringing together a heady mix of cars, stars and motor sport ‘royalty’.
As one of the main sponsors, Michelin tyres have a major exhibition stand and will be putting on a host of entertaining events and shows.
It is also sponsoring the famous Supercar Paddock where visitors can walk amongst some of the finest and fastest cars in the world.
And Michelin has also teamed up with British racing driver Tim Harvey to put on what it says will be a show of high-velocity entertainment.
At the Michelin Supercar Paddock, Harvey will welcome cars and their drivers directly off the track and onto the stand for an interview.
Harvey said: “I can’t wait to see the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, Daniel Lloyd and his Porsche GT3 racecar, Tiff Needell with a BMW M6 and of course the Michelin Man himself on the stand.
“It’s going to be such a spectacle and I’m really looking forward to seeing some old friends too – everyone is welcome.”
Michelin will take the opportunity to feature some legendary vehicles illustrating its high performance tyre innovations and long-standing and continuing involvement in motor sport, as well as providing interactive displays and exclusive promotions for visitors to its stand.
Upwards of 180,000 car enthusiasts will attend the ‘largest motoring garden party in the world’ , which is held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House and runs until Sunday.
