Michelin are delighted to have been named as the most prominent online tyres brand for the fifth year in a row.
The French tyres manufacturer took the top spot in the latest on-line brand equity survey conducted by leading tyre trade publication Tyres and Accessories.
The top six most prominent brands remained the same as the previous four years, with the only movement in the standings coming from Dunlop who dropped from third place in 2008 to fifth place in 2009.
For the third year running Michelin achieved the recognition of most positively-reinforced brand. Michelin also came top in the sentiment index, which deducts negative mentions from the overall total.
Peter Snelling, Michelin Head of Communications said: “We are delighted to have been named as the most prominent on-line tyre brand for the fifth year.
“It’s a confirmation of the positive perception Michelin has as a tyre brand and how it stands as a by-word for quality, reliability and performance.
“Being a market leader is what all brands aspire to be and we are very pleased to have retained that number one status.”
