Good for Liz Hurley! We’ve just found out that after her car got stuck on a snowy track during the Christmas and New Year holiday season, she searched YouTube for a video demonstrating how to put snow chains on her tyres.

Of course, if she had had winter tyres fitted in the first place, she may very well not have found herself in this position, but at least she got stuck into trying to remedy the situation.

The actress, model and bikini designer, revealed her plight to her 466,000 Twitter followers with the following message: “Uh oh. Car stuck on snowy track. We may be some time.” Followed by: “Now watching You Tube video of how to put on snow chains (sic)”

As anyone who lives out in the country or at the end of a road that has never been graced by a visit from the gritter lorries knows, fitting winter tyres is a sure way to help you greatly increase your chances of staying mobile, even after heavy snow.

So if you are likely to find yourself in this situation during the coming winter months, etyres recommend you act now and order a set of winter tyres, rather than waiting until your vehicle is stranded under a snow drift.

etyres supply and fit a wide range of winter tyres to suit all vehicles and budgets and its highly competitive prices start from around £250 for a full set of economy winter tyres, including fitting, new valves, balancing, disposal or help with storing the old tyres and VAT.
