The community spirit in a close-knit former pit village is being ruined by the actions of vandals who have slashed the tyres of hundreds of cars, it is claimed.
Around 400 cars have already had their tyres slashed in Lynemouth in Northumberland and now suspicion, tension and anger in the wake of the continual night-time attacks, is poisoning the lives of the locals.
Fears are even mounting that an innocent bystander could become the victim of the vigilante-style action by some property owners in the village, which been likened to a ‘mini Beirut’.
In the latest incident, about 100 parked cars had their tyres punctured in the seaside village on Wednesday night, causing damage worth thousands of pounds.
Vehicle vandalism can set emotions running high.
Our etyres fitters are regularly called to customers whose tyres have been slashed. They are often left stranded, massively inconvenienced and out of pocket by the attacks on their vehicles.
However, etyres can ease some of the problems. We offer a mobile fitting service, which means our customers choose the time and location to have their tyres fitted and because our overheads are low are prices are up to 40% cheaper than the leading high street tyre chains.
