Were you on the giving or receiving end of a thoughtful act yesterday to mark World Kindness Day? Our nationwide network of mobile tyre fitting branches are always on the look out to offer a helping hand when needed and yesterday was no exception.
Our favourite example comes from etyres Canterbury. Branch owner Garry saw a pensioner stranded at the side of the road with a rear puncture. Unfortunately he had no breakdown cover. Disaster. The tyre was a write-off, but Garry quickly replaced it with the space saver, so the driver could be on his way. Despite having a busy day, Garry did this for free without a second thought.
Up at etyres Swindon, branch owner Howie also stepped in to save the day for another desperate motorist. His customer had booked a mobile puncture repair, but unfortunately it was too damaged to be safely and legally repaired. The customer had a long drive ahead to get home and although Howie was happy to fit the space saver, he explained it would limit the driver’s speed and distance he could travel. Again, far from ideal. The customer had intended to get home and then source a new tyre to have fitted, but Howie had a better idea…because it was his last job of the day he was able to shoot off and pick up a new tyre from one of his suppliers, so it could be fitted immediately.
Wheel rim refurbs
etyres Worthing had to replace two tyres on a classic Triumph Stag. Branch owner Steve was also asked to check out the rims, which the owner suspected might be buckled because the tyre was losing air. Both wheels turned out to be perfect, although severely corroded due to age. Without a second thought, Steve completely refurbed the inside of the wheel rims, free of charge!
The one that really made us smile, came from etyres Walsall, run by husband-and-wife team Gary and Marti. After being extremely considerate to each other all day, Marti rounded it off by adding an extra job into Gary’s already packed Tuesday schedule to help out a customer. As she pointed out: “I don’t have to be kind to him tomorrow.”
Never mind Gary, World Kindness Day will come round again in 2018! However our customers don’t have to wait another 364 days to get considerate treatment from our nationwide network of mobile tyre fitters. We make it our priority to strive to deliver outstanding customer service every day, whether it means fitting a tyre within two hours or repairing a puncture at the side of the road. You just have to check out the reviews we have received on Trustpilot from more than 20,000 customers!
