e-Tyres frontman Eammon Holmes makes ‘Shameless’ TV appearance
Did you catch TV presenter Eamonn Holmes making an hilarious cameo appearance in the hit Channel 4 series Shameless last night.
Eamonn, who guides etyres customers through the process of ordering new tyres on it’s user-friendly website, appeared in a romantic dream sequence with wheelchair bound Patty Croker, played by Valerie Lilley.
The popular TV presenter turned out to be Patty’s dream man in last nights episode of the award-winning show based around the Chatsworth estate.
The Sky News Sunrise host said he was ‘absolutely delighted’ to get the chance to appear in the show.
Writing on his official website, he said: “I can’t tell you the plot but it’s very funny, and rude. All the cast were really nice to me – even Frank.”
Belfast-born Eamonn also appeared as himself later in the episode after Patty’s daughter Libby – Pauline McLynn – arranged a pilgrimage to France for her mother.
Layabout drunk Frank Gallagher, played David Threlfall, was forced to accompany Patty and the unlikely travelling companions found themselves sharing a room in a teetotal convent.
Aside from his breakfast show, he now presents Friday editions of ITV1’s This Morning, alongside wife Ruth Langsford.
