Reading: Dunlop Wins Prestigious OE Fitment on Two New Jaguars

Dunlop has been chosen by car maker Jaguar to provide the tyres as original equipment for its two newest models.

The ultra high performance summer tyres Dunlop SP Sport Maxx will be fitted to the eagerly-awaited, supercharged Jaguar XFR and the XKR.

The two new models are the latest additions to the Jaguar line-up and winning the OE fitment contract is a feather in Dunlop’s cap.

The vehicles feature a 375 kW/510 hp supercharged engine and acceleration of 4.8 seconds from 0-100 km/h.

Dunlop announced the new contract and stated that its tyres handling and grip qualities make the SP Sport Maxx an important addition, considering the overall car’s performance.

It is noted for its dry handling and its luxury sport vehicle applicability, and is also available in sizes for tuned cars.

Dunlop claim the SP Sport Maxx tyres offer the average motorist ‘the kind of characteristics that racing tyres offer to deliver an ultra high performance edge’.
