Well done to Continental tyres for being named one of “Best Places to Work” in a US newspaper.
The tyres manufacturer is singled-out as one of just 10 large businesses in the finals of the “Best Places to Work” Award compiled by the “Charlotte Business Journal.”
The award recognises companies with benefits, policies and practices that are among the area’s best. The annual evaluation of the work environment is based on employee surveys which are conducted by a third party.
Continental has almost 400 employees in the Charlotte area headquarters who were able to participate in this survey, which the newspaper has sponsored since 2006.
Matthias Schoenberg, chief executive officer of the company, said: “Our employees are the heart of our business.”
He added that the company has enjoyed business growth in the past two years, despite the poor economy, and that the employees deserve the credit for the success.
Schoenberg went on: “And we’ve worked hard to create for them a work environment that values their contributions and provides them with outstanding careers.”
