Continental tyres forecasts rise in brand awareness after teaming up with the Weather Channel

Continental tyres has just announced it is the exclusive launch partner for The Weather Channel App for Android with the aim of raising brand awareness for its range of premium tyres.

Continental tyres already use the FIFA World Cup platform to raise brand awareness and more recently signed a seven-figure deal to sponsor the latest ITV series of the celebrity skating competition ‘Dancing on Ice’.

Its latest foray into the world of corporate sponsorship might seem a bit out of left field, but it does allow Continental tyres to once again drive home its sales message for premium tyres.

Peter Robb, from Continental Tyres, the German premium tyres manufacturer, said: “The Android App partnership is an exciting first for Continental, and with wet weather grip and tyre safety at our core, what better way to help motorists plan ahead for long journeys than teaming up with The Weather Channel App.”

The Weather Channel App, available now on Google Play on mobile and tablet devices, offers a simpler interface and stunning design for a more personal weather experience.

The app displays an immediate view of weather conditions with exact timing of when rain will begin and end, easier-to-find forecasts, improved map features, richer video offerings, and easier location management.

Continental tyres will feature in the new full-screen ad unit, the branded background, within the app on mobile and tablet devices.
