Continental are the latest tyres company to join Twitter to get its message out to the widest audience possible.
The German tyres manufacturer intends to spread news of tyre safety, driving issues, motorsport and its fantastic online World Cup competitions.
Continental is no stranger to Social Media, with existing properties on YouTube and Flickr providing information to motorists in the UK.
Guy Frobisher, Marketing Director of Continental Tyres, comments: “We’ve got so much going on at the moment with the World Cup and our usual activities on promoting tyre safety that we thought now was the time to get tweeting.
“We’re looking forward to chatting with Twitter users and Conti fans from throughout the UK and Ireland, and keeping them abreast of the latest news and information from the world of Continental.”
As well as car tyre and road safety information, @ContiUK is also the place to find out about the latest Continental World Cup competitions as part of their role as Official Sponsor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
