Chinese tyre manufacturers are signing up in force to exhibit their products at a leading tyres show in the UK next year.
Brityrex 2010 show organisers have revealed that the Chinese tyres makers are descending on the show “as manufacturers and distributors seek added penetration in the UK following import protection moves in the U.S. and other markets.”
ECI International have already taken 25 booth bookings from Chinese suppliers for the show, which will be held on 5-7 October 2010 at Manchester Central, formerly known as G-Mex.
Paul Farrant, managing director of ECI, announced: “There’s no doubt that events in America and elsewhere have had a knock-on effect in terms of Chinese distributors looking at the UK and European market.
“We already have a very strong group of exhibitors from China, but I think there will be more to come over the next few months, which will offer a huge choice for tyre buyers at the show.”
Among those confirmed for Manchester 2010 are Sonny Tyre, Koryo Tyres, Star Tyre (representing 23 individual brands) and Techking Tyres.
