Check tyres as snow returns to UK roads
Snow and Arctic conditions are set to return to the UK this week - which means the roads are going to become more hazardous.
Making sure your tyres are safe and legal is one of the best ways to make sure your car is equipped to cope with icy conditions.
You should ensure your tyres are inflated correctly and that you have a minimum of 3mm of tread on your tyres to cope with wet and slippery conditions.
It is also a good idea to always carry some old bits of carpet or cat litter, to put under the tyres when stuck and a shovel to clear snow.
If your tyres have not got enough grip to cope with the icy conditions, you should replace them as soon as possible.
etyres offers a free mobile tyres fitting service, which means you order your new tyres and then we come and fit them at a location of your choice - at your home or workplace - which saves you valuable time driving to a depot and hanging around while the job is being carried out.
And because our overheads are low, we pass the savings on to our customers in form of cheaper prices - up to 40% less than the leading high street depots.
