Congratulations to Bridgestone for being awarded two accolades not directly related to their tyres.
First up is Bridgestone Americas tyres plant in Warren County, Tennessee, which has been recognised as Corporate Habitat of the Year by the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC).
The award recognises the facility’s wildlife habitat, which was certified as a WHC location in 2004, plus the tyre manufacturers Environmental Education Classroom & Habitat, which was formed in 2008.
An estimated 5,000 students have participated in the program.
And the second award goes to Bridgestone Americas for its fundraising activities.
The Japanese company received the 2009 Corporate Leadership Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Central Ohio Chapter.
The award was specifically given to the Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund, the philanthropic arm of Bridgestone Americas.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals fosters the development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes ethics in fundraising.
