Artist Ian Cook is a man driven to succeed (pardon the pun)!
The contemporary British painter has just unveiled his latest canvas creation which was completed with the help of the tyres on a racing car, a motorbike and a racing truck.
Cook is well-known for painting with tyres and his latest 50 square meter masterpiece was created mainly in Cooks traditional manner – using remote controlled cars as his paintbrushes.
But after putting in 40 hours labour in the studio creating the basics of the painting, the action then moved to Brands Hatch were the finishing touches were applied.
This is where Cook spent another eight hours using the succession of vehicles – the racing car, motorbike and racing truck – to complete the canvas.
Cook’s unique style of painting is known as ‘Auto Drawings’ and he uses up to 50 different cars dipped in coloured paints to create his images.
