Apollo tyres has had a trendy new image make-over – designed by a UK-based company.
The tyres company’s new website opens with a striking image of a bare-torsoed young man and screams the headline YOUNG in vivid orange.
It states: “India’s largest tyre manufacturer best identifies with aspiration that hallmark global youth – passionate, driven and fueled by restless desire.
“An enterprise that identifies with and mirrors the boundless potential of the young across the world.”
The re-branding was carried out by Saffron, an independent consulting firm working for companies, countries and other enterprises on issues related to branding and identity.
Apollo operations chief Satish Sharma said the firm’s new look also comes with a new vision statement — ‘the brand of choice’ — to change its look and have fresh focus to get itself a global image.
The company also rolled out its new corporate identity across operations in the first quarter of 2009 and now has launched a refreshed website.
Moving away from the earlier usage of black and red to the vibrancy of purple and orange, moderated by shades of grey.
