When Pirelli tyres needed a jaw-droppingly beautiful star to perform alongside John Malkovitch and Naomi Campbell they turned to Dom Trickett – or to be more precise, his gorgeous TVR Sagaris.
Now his sleek sports car is back in the limelight again, this time turning heads in a new movie called The Heavy with Vinnie Jones, Christopher Lee and boxer-turned-actor Gary Stretch.
This time Trickett, who owns TVR in Coventry, even got to rub shoulders with the stars themselves, when he drove Stretch down the red carpet in London at the premiere of new thriller earlier this week.
Dom said: “The director Marcus Warren rang me up and said he was doing a new movie with Vinnie Jones and Gary Stretch about a government conspiracy and would I be interested in providing a car. I said ‘yeah’ and it just went from there.
“Gary is quite a car fanatic and he wanted something a little bit different. There are only about 100 Sagaris in the country and mine is the very first off the production line, so it has a lot of history.
“The car is the main focal point of the movie which is great.”
It’s not the first time this particular TVR has hogged the limelight, in the first ever short promotional film made by Pirelli, The Call, it stole the show from Hollywood legend John Malkovich as a demonically possessed vehicle.
