Goodyear has been displaying several concept tyres at this week’s Geneva Motor Show.
The US tyres manufacturers has rolled out the tyres, including an extremely low rolling resistance version of its Goodyear EfficientGrip tyre and a new run-flat, at the motoring show.
The company’s newest run-flat “has reduced mass and rolling resistance,” say Goodyear officials.
It claims that: “In another breakthrough, the new RunOnFlat tyre offers comfort levels comparable to standard tyres.”
Other tyres unveiled at the show include the Goodyear UltraGrip Ice+ winter tyre, which contains the company’s ActiveGrip Technology, the Dunlop SP StreetResponse tyre with Goodyear’s Touch Technology and the Dunlop SP QuattroMaxx ultra-high performance SUV tyre.
Arthur de Bok, president of Goodyear Dunlop Tyres Europe, said: “New products and innovation are key platforms for driving top-line growth in 2010 and beyond.
“The innovations on display in Geneva demonstrate our capability to deliver relevant technology to our customers.”
