A Turkey-based company is the latest tyres manufacturer to team up with a Premiership football team.
Lassa Tyres has finalised a spoonsorship agreement with Bolton Wanderers for next season, following in the footsteps of Kumho’s deal with Manchester United, while Maxiss sponsors Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
Turkey’s Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci, which manufactures Lassa tyres, is the country’s number one tyre producer, and the seventh largest in Europe.
The company said Bolton’s position as a successful and established member of the top tier of English football – next season will be the eleventh consecutive year that the club will compete in the Premier League – was a major attraction for the brand, according to Tyres and Accessories.
Gareth Moores, commercial director of Bolton Wanderers, said: “This fantastic announcement further demonstrates Bolton Wanderers ability to attract industry leaders and global brands who wish to be associated with our on and off-field success.
“We look forward to building a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship with Lassa Tyres by combining a truly global brand advertising platform with opportunities to engage with our rapidly growing fanbase.”
Halit Sensoy, director of international sales and marketing for Lassa, added: “We are delighted to be entering into a partnership agreement with Bolton Wanderers.
“Lassa Tyres is a growing brand that provides great value and performance for our customers, and we see many of the same values in the team at the Reebok Stadium. I look forward to showcasing our products to the loyal Bolton supporters.”
In the UK, Lassa markets an extensive range of tyres for cars, vans, 4×4 and SUV and truck, via a network of 13 independent wholesale distributors.
