Continental Premium Contact commended by Auto Express

Contributing Writer Auto Express has awarded a
commendation to the Premium Contact 2 tyre by
Continental. The car review magazine Auto Express
described the Continental tyre as “among the best in the
wet, particularly curved aquaplaning”, adding that the
tyre “managed unlike most rain masters, to match that in
the dry and in rolling resistance tests.”
Continental has been recognised in previous years by
Auto Express, with the ContiEcoContact 3 being awarded a
product honour in 2006.
The Product Manager at Continental, Peter Robb,
commented on behalf of the company: “We are delighted to
have been commended by Auto Express” he said. Mr Robb
also added that “the ContiPremiumContact 2 is a popular
choice with car manufacturers as an original equipment
fitting to their latest generation cars. This test
result is proof of its outstanding performance. ”
The ContiPremiumContact 2 tyre has proved a popular
choice with car manufacturers…having been approved for
the Audi A5, the Toyota Auris, the Fiat Bravo and the
Mercedes-Benz C Class. A self-supporting run flat
version of the tyre has also just been approved for the
BMW 1 and 3 series.
The leading car magazine Which? also recommended the
Continental Premium Contact tyre as a “best buy” in its
205/55 R16 V test in the February issue.
