Definition of Repairable Area

The repairable area of a tyre is designated as that where a repair can be carried out to British Standard (currently BS AU 159f).

Below is an explanation of the T area as defined by the current British Standard:

The repairable area T is defined as a percentage of the tyre’s nominal section width and is dependant on the type and size of the tyre
