plenty of drive and initiative you can join our steadily
expanding team of successful Franchisees.
We offer the lowest prices on all leading brands of
tyres and batteries and the most convenient service. We
fit tyres and batteries at the customer's home or place
of work. And because our service is fully mobile, we
don't have expensive tyre depots, which means our prices
are always low.
The primary reason that our service is second to none is
that our network is made up of Franchise Partners rather
than tyre depot managers. Could you be our next
successful Partner with this franchise opportunity in
Weymouth?
Fast-expanding etyres now has over 100 vans fitted with
the most up-to-date equipment required to fit tyres to
today's vehicles. The work is guaranteed and carried out
by our Franchise Partners who employ fully trained tyre
fitters. Customers can have full confidence in our
professional and efficient service because our Franchise
Partners always provide a superior service than is
available elsewhere, as you may do in Weymouth.
New branches are often started as a sole trader business
with the Franchise Partner fitting tyres himself. As the
level of sales grows a trained tyre fitter is employed.
Later a second and third fitter are employed.
Alternatively the business can be operated purely as a
Management Franchise, with all the operational activity
delegated to employees. Either way, branches can be
built up to be very lucrative, with strong sales and
cashflow, as would this franchise opportunity in Weymouth.
And etyres is on a fast track towards nationwide
coverage. We can already cover to more than 70% of the
UK car owning population. However we still have
franchise Territories available in key areas, including
Weymouth. Full training is provided in all aspects of the
business. Head Office backup includes National Sales,
Etyres Sales, National Account authorisations, invoicing
and cash collection as well as help with local sales and
marketing, credit control and administration. For a

More about Weymouth
Weymouth is situated in the south of the county of
Dorset on the south coast of England. Weymouth Bay is
part of the English Channel. It has long been known as
"England's Bay of Naples". The area known as Weymouth
encompasses the ancient civil parishes of Melcombe Regis
and Radipole. It has a long and interesting history with
many famous associations including Royalty.
What we think of as Weymouth today when we think of the
seaside or the town centre, is in fact Melcombe Regis.
They were once two separate places and parishes, their
boundary being the harbour. On the South side was
Weymouth and on the North, the almost island piece of
land, Melcombe Regis. There was much feuding between the
two over the trading rights of the harbour.
The two became officially united in 1571 when Elizabeth
I granted a Royal Charter and they were thereafter known
as the Borough of Weymouth and Melcombe Regis.
During the second world war, Weymouth featured
prominently in the participation of the D-Day landings
in Normandy. Many British and American soldiers left the
shores of England here. A memorial erected on the
esplanade, opposite the Royal Hotel, records that
517,816 troops and 144,093 vehicles embarked at Weymouth
between 6th June 1944 and 7th May 1945. Since the 50th
anniversary parades of remembrance in 1994, a Veteran's
reunion has been held every year at the Pavilion, for
those American and British who were stationed in or
around Weymouth during the war. Below are selected
websites for further information on this very special
event in our history.
The Pavilion formerly the Ritz, opened in 1908, was
destroyed by fire in 1954 and a new one built in 1960.
1986 was the year in which the part of the pier
bandstand protruding into the sea was blown up, as it
had become unsafe.
Today Weymouth hosts many national and international
events. In 1994 it hosted the start of the Tall Ships
Race for the third time, the only port ever to have done
so. That in itself was a remarkable event in Weymouth's
history and one unlikely to be forgotten by those who
witnessed it. Some photographs of this event can be
found on the Tall Ships page.
The Weymouth Civic Society, when re-siting the Abigail
memorial, also erected a bench in memory of Eric
Ricketts, a well-known Weymouth architect and historian
to whom we are much indebted for his works The Buildings
of Old Weymouth.
